FAQ

The Answers You Need

How far in advance should I book for my wedding?

My wedding diary gets booked up quickly, anytime from 1-3 years in advance. So the sooner you book, the better.

When should I have my hair and/or make up trial?

I advise my brides to have their hair and make up trials anywhere between 6 to 3 months prior to the wedding date. Ideally, you need to have selected your dress prior to your trial, as your dress is an important factor in deciding the style of hair and make up suitable for you and your chosen look.

Where will my hair and/or make up trial be held?

I have a home studio in Denham, that you may come to. If this isn't possible I can also come to you.

What will happen at my hair and/or make up trial?

I will discuss with you all aspects of the wedding, from dress to themes and flowers. Clients usually have a few images with ideas on that they like to show me. I do encourage this as it's a really good starting reference. I will then work on the look and tweaks are made throughout. If another style is needed to be tried then this is fine. This is also a good time to try headpieces and/or veils, so bring them along with you.

How long will my hair and/or make up trial last?

I always allow 2 hours per hair and per make up trial to ensure enough time for this without rushing.

When is the best time to wash my hair?

I prefer clients to not have freshly washed hair as it can be too soft. The best time to wash your hair is the day before the trial or wedding day, as it is easier to play about with and style.

What make up brands do you use?

MAC, Estee Lauder, NYX, Revolution, Maybelline, Loreal, KIKO Milano, to name a few.

Will my make up last all day?

The techniques used for applying your make up will ensure that it lasts all day, although I would suggest that you purchase a lipstick for topping up as required.

What will happen on the morning of the wedding?

A schedule will have been drawn up and sent out to you the week before. I will arrive with 15 minutes to set up and get started. I will then work through the schedule and stay until the bride leaves for the ceremony to ensure all last minute touch ups are done.
